The word, "Godspeed”, is an antiquated term that means to be prosperous. As the year comes to an end would you consider 2019 a year of prosperity? How would you measure that prosperity? Taking a look at 3 John we see two characters emerge that we can use to evaluate our lives by, are me more like Gaius or Diotrephes? How will we walk in the year to come? Godspeed.
We all crave for loving relationships. In fact, to be fully and unconditionally loved, regardless our shortcomings and failures, is a powerful thing. The Christmas season is reminding us that God offers this kind of love to humankind, yet the question is how do we experience this kind of love from God?
Jesus’ incarnation is not just an ephemeral feeling or a spiritual hope. The shepherds, who received the announcement of the birth of Jesus, witnessed God’s loving desire to be near to us. This amazing news brought great joy in their hearts. The same joy is still available for you also. You can receive it. You can rejoice in it.

Sloth is not one of those sins we think about often. Spiritually speaking, the person affected by slothfulness is failing to take advantage of God-given opportunities. It refers to a spiritual condition of inactivity, characterized by a despairing, indifferent, apathetic attitude of the heart and mind.
Is wealth good or dangerous and deceptive?The bible teaches both aspects. Wealth, if well managed could be the evidence of God’s blessing, but it is also true, that wealth in our materialistic culture could become a dangerous trap that can corrupt and harden our hearts.
One does not "find" God. It is God who reaches out to us. We can know who our creator God is through his revelation as recorded in the Scriptures and we can grow in our knowledge of God to the extent that we respond positively to that revelation.
If we struggle with envy, take heart: freedom is possible, but it doesn’t come without our commitment to battle against our flesh. We must recognize that the basic nature of envy is laid on ungratefulness; therefore, we should repent of it and combat dissatisfaction with contentment in Christ’s sufficiency.
“What is pride? In a small way, it is like confidence in one's self. Confidence in one's self does not seem to be a bad thing, in fact, confidence in one's self is often seen as a necessary component to effective functioning in this world. Yet pride implies that the self is autonomous and needs neither other people nor God.”
Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross of Calvary is the centrepiece of Christianity. The Scriptures make clear that the preaching of the message of the cross is foolishness to the unbeliever, but it is the power of God to save for the believer. Water baptism is a powerful symbol of the identification of the believer with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We all want justice to come to the evils of this world, but what justice do we have coming our way? What are the eternal implications for my earthly actions? Often we want justice to fall on others yet for ourselves, we expect compulsory grace. What is just when we consider Hell and what we deserve. How does the cross redefine this understanding?
It should matter to all of us where we will spend our eternal future, after this life is over. The bible says that believing in Christ or failing to believe in Him will determine our eternal destiny.
As we look at King David’s life and how he faced rejection, it can help us manage our feelings of rejection and overcome it. King David knew his worth was not based on his performance nor on the approval of others.He had a trusting heart and chose to keep believing in God when other people had rejected him.

Discipling churches are taking on the responsibility of moving people into authentic relationships with each other; being and sharing our life together in Christ.
What are the marks of a disciple of Jesus Christ? The apostle Paul makes it very clear when he wrote to the Roman believers, that living sacred lives in a secular world is a true call to discipleship. Nevertheless, it is a terrible mistake to think we can make a difference in someone else’s life if we haven’t allowed God to make a bit of difference in our own lives.
